By Aaron Humes: Police say they have recovered a 9-millimeter pistol, detained two individuals, including a 17-year-old, and are seeking a third person following a shooting incident on Wednesday in Belize City.
Just before midday on Wednesday, police responded to a report at the corner of Central American Boulevard and Faber’s Road. Upon arrival, they spoke with Assistant Superintendent of Police Francis Williams, who reported that while passing the traffic light in an Isuzu Max pickup, he heard six gunshots. When he stopped, he noticed the vehicle had three apparent bullet holes.
Initial investigations revealed that three men were in front of an establishment arguing when one of them pulled out a firearm and fired at the other two. The bullets missed the intended targets but struck the Isuzu Max pickup.
Investigation continues.
