By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Belize Premier Basketball League (BPBL) rolls into another thrilling night of basketball on Saturday, May 24, featuring two games in San Pedro and Dangriga.

The Belize City Thunderbolts, fresh off a 106-51 victory over the Punta Gorda Panthers, will travel to San Pedro to take on the Tiger Sharks, while the EZ Investments Dream Ballers look to bounce back as they face the Western Ballaz in Dangriga.

Thunderbolts Look to Extend Perfect Start Against Tiger Sharks
The Thunderbolts are firing on all cylinders after securing their second straight win, dismantling the Panthers with suffocating defense and relentless scoring on Thursday night. Victor Evans led the charge with 21 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 assists, while Tyrone Hall and Michael Caceres contributed with strong all-around performances.

Now, they turn their attention to the Tiger Sharks, a team known for its physicality and home-court advantage. The Tiger Sharks, eager to claim their second victory of the season, will aim to slow down the Thunderbolts’ high-powered offense and force a grind-it-out contest. The matchup at the San Pedro High School Auditorium promises fireworks.

Dream Ballers Look to Bounce Back Against Western Ballaz
Meanwhile, in Dangriga, the Dream Ballers will try to recover from a tough season-opening loss. After falling 101-81 to the Thunderbolts last week, the Ballers need a response against the Western Ballaz, who are eyeing their second win, after dropping the Belmopan Capital City Kings 77-57 last week

Led by Daniel Conorque, who tallied 24 points in their last outing, the Dream Ballers have the firepower to put pressure on their opponents. However, the Western Ballaz are known for their gritty defense and efficient scoring, making for an intriguing battle at the Russell ‘Chiste’ Garcia Auditorium.

With both matchups set to tip off at 8:00 pm, BPBL fans can expect a night filled with intense competition, strategic battles, and electrifying plays.
