San Pedro man chopped dead by son

By Aaron Humes: In the last hour, San Pedro Police have confirmed the death of a man this evening after being fatally chopped in the San Mateo area.

A son and a father reportedly got into a dispute over a dog and the latter chopped the former with a machete. The father died while in treatment at the San Pedro Polyclinic in town.

Preliminary reports suggest alcohol may have been a factor. The son has been detained for questioning pending continuing investigations.
