Travis Swift, 21, gunned down in Camalote; Police seek answers

By Breaking Belize News Staff: A young life was cut short on Friday night in Camalote, Cayo District, where 21-year-old Travis Darnell Swift was gunned down in a targeted attack.

According to reports, the gunman stormed into Swift’s mother’s home and fired up to ten rounds directly at him. The brutal act left Swift fatally wounded. Despite efforts by family and first responders, he was pronounced dead shortly thereafter.

Police arrived quickly at the scene and are now conducting a full investigation. Forensic teams have collected evidence from the home, and officials are canvassing the area for witnesses and surveillance footage that may help identify the shooter.

No arrests have been made, and the motive remains unknown. Investigators have not ruled out any possibilities as they continue to piece together what led to the deadly attack.
