By Breaking Belize News Staff: A 25-year-old Ladyville man is out on bail after being arraigned on charges of wounding and taking a vehicle without permission in connection with a domestic dispute involving his common-law wife.

Clive Kelston Flores, a resident of Hollywood area, Ladyville, appeared unrepresented before Magistrate Ludlow Black in Court #4, where he was read two charges: wounding his partner and taking a conveyance without authority for allegedly driving off in her Ford Escape without her consent.

Flores pleaded not guilty to both charges. With no objection to bail, Magistrate Black granted bail in the sum of $1,500 plus one surety of the same amount. However, strict conditions were imposed: Flores must report to the Ladyville Police Station every Friday beginning June 20, must remain at least 25 yards away from the virtual complainant, and is prohibited from returning to the home they once shared.

According to police, the incident occurred around 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 12, 2025, when they responded to a domestic dispute at the Lords Bank residence. There, Joseph reported that a verbal altercation with Flores escalated into a physical confrontation. She claimed Flores struck her on the right forearm, then took her car keys and drove away in her vehicle without her permission.

Flores is scheduled to return to court on August 15, 2025.
