Belize Weather: Sunny start gives way to rain from passing wave

By BBN Staff: Mainly fair weather continues according to the National Meteorological Service.

Skies today will be mostly sunny with isolated showers and isolated thunderstorms developing inland this afternoon. Tonight it will be cloudy at times with a few showers and thunderstorms mainly over the South.

High temperatures are 88 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 93 degrees inland, and 84 degrees in the hills. Tonight it will be 81 degrees along the coast, 75 in the interior and 68 in the hills.

Winds are from the east to southeast at 10 to 20 knots and the sea state is moderate.

High tide occurs at 8:50 a.m. and 10:05 p.m. and a low tide at 4:04 p.m. The sun sets at 6:14 and rises on Sunday at 5:36.

Sunday will see cloudy skies with showers and thunderstorms over most areas, particularly in the north in the morning and in the south at night.
