Get Out Of An Abusive Relationship: It Never Gets Better

If all 340,000+ Belizeans sat in a group meeting, and we all looked at each other and pondered “How are we in this mess? Who all are responsible?” We would go thru the power structure, the people at the head of those power structure, and realize, very fast, that only a handful of men have the ability to make decisions that affect each…and…every…single….one of us.  That power structure would be our House Of Representatives, that is the second stone from the top of our political pyramid.  The tip, the capstone of our proverbial pyramid is the party that controls the House of Representatives (and the hidden-hand that controls them).  Interpret anyway you like, these are the men that controls the heartbeat of Belize, they are the deciders. When these men say we will raise fuel prices, it is so.

Now these men belong to a clan, per se, where their allegiance is to that clan first and foremost.  Many duplicitous statements have been made, and will be made, to deny this fact.  But, this clan, who controls the tip, the capstone of our proverbial pyramid, the power structure of Belize, is controlled by men who we do not hear much of, if at all. I call it hidden-hand.  Now, this clan that I am speaking of, it doesn’t matter which new face is put out there, his allegiance is still to the clan, first and foremost.

Now, imagine, while all 340,000+ of us sitting in this group meeting, remove this clan from the room and placed them in another room, where no one can see them, hear them, interact with them.  Slowly the rest of us will see the men who make up this clan, as the source of our difficulties.  By doing this, we will also see the hidden-hand that control this clan.  They are usually disguising their actions among the reactions of others.  Once we render their actions visible they lose their power to control Belize.

How do we accomplish this?  How do we render the hidden-hand behind the clan, visible?  Only, and I repeat, only a third party can accomplish this.  We can only separate this clan from the rest of us by voting them completely out of office.  That is the tool we have to use (other than blood on the streets, which will solve very little and cause far too much harm).   Remember, the clan I speak off is the bipartisan political parties that currently exist in Belize – PUDP as some has coined it – that has been controlling Belize up to this point.

I implore the bright minds that are a part of the clan, are thinking of joining the clan, to consider where your allegiance will lie.  Consider the hidden-hand that controls and will castrate you if you go against the wills of the clan, when you want to really work for the people.  Let’s free Belizeans from this mental and physical modern day slavery.

We have been in a marriage with the clan since September 21, 1981, they promised they wouldn’t cheat on us and abuse us, but that is all they have done to us over and over again.  This relationship is finished.  It cannot be saved.  The only thing to do is get a divorce and look for a brand new relationship.  The risk is worth it, for it is reaching a point where someone in the relationship will end up severely hurt or worse, and at that point there will be no peaceful resolution to this abusive relationship.

Only a third party can save Belize from this abusive relationship.
