Pech was sentenced to 6 years for burglary and 1 year for theft. The sentences are to run consecutively, so Pech will serve 7 years. The burglary occurred on May 29, 2015, at a house, located at 14 Eyre Street. Pech stole an assortment of jewelry, fashion jewelry and a toy computer.

Police recovered some of the stolen items from her. She claimed that she was forced to commit the burglary by some men who threatened to harm her and her unborn child if she did not do as she was told. But Senior Magistrate Fraser did not believe her.

The theft occurred last week at Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital when Pech went there for treatment. She stole a wallet belonging to Dr. Martha Habet which contained $40 and some personal documents. When asked what she did with the documents, Pech said she threw them in the canal.

In both cases Pech was captured on surveillance cameras taking the items.
