By Aaron Humes: Pastor Llewelyn “Lue” Lucas of Dangriga is the alleged victim of a reported decapitation murder in Belmopan, media sources report.

The head of a man identified as Lucas, as well as a large sum of cash and several licensed firearms, were found by Belmopan police inside a bucket in a car driven by a Canadian national who is now in police custody. A body was later recovered as well.

The suspect refused to cooperate with police, resulting in them using force to break into the vehicle.

The suspect, who reportedly lived in the Mountain View area of Belmopan, is said to be linked to online accusation of perpetrating scams against persons in different countries.

Lucas was also a candidate in the Dangriga by-elections one year ago.

We will continue to follow this story.

Belize needs to bring back the death penalty. If hanging is brought back maybe it will decrease the crime rate. Belize was not so terrible when hanging was a form of punishment for violent criminals.
