Beltraide hosts women entrepreneur training

By BBN Staff:  BELTRAIDE, through its SBDC Belize Unit, with funding from the Centro Regional de Promocion de la MIPYME (CENPROMYPE) and the United States of America, is implementing a project entitled “Regional Training and Certification Program for SBDCs in Central America”.

Under the third component of the project: “Ensure women entrepreneurs receive equal access to opportunities and services at SBDCs/ support organizations”, a workshop will be held to transfer a methodology on the implementation of new specialized Women Entrepreneurship Service to SBDC and business support organizations in the region.

The objective of the workshop is for support organizations to adapt and replicate the women entrepreneurship model, in order to promote the economic autonomy of women, with a focus on dynamic enterprises in the SICA region.

The transfer process will conclude with the implementation of the women entrepreneurship service from August to October 2018.

The women entrepreneurship service will contribute to achieving progress not only in women’s business aspects but also in their decision-making and personal empowerment.

The workshop will be held at the Belize Training and Employment Centre (BTEC) Enterprise Room, ITVET Compound, Freetown Road, Belize City, on June 26-29 from 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
