Health officials monitoring over 650 active cases of Covid-19 in Belize

By BBN Staff: Health officials in Belize are currently monitoring 659 active cases of COVID-19 in the country.

Yesterday, The Ministry of Health identified 37 new cases of the virus. The new cases were discovered in the following locations:

Belize District – 5 (4 in Belize City, 1 from San Jose, Orange Walk)
Cayo District – 6 (all in Belmopan)
Orange Walk District – 26 (10 Orange Walk Town, 2 Nuevo San Juan, 2 San Jose, 1 San Pablo, 1 San Lazaro, 2 Douglas, 5 San Estevan, 2 Guinea Grass, 1 from Santa Clara, Corozal.

Of the 659 active cases, 303 are females and 356 are males.

So far, Belize has registered 1,891 cases of the virus, 24 deaths, and 1,208 people have recovered.
