Senior citizen is the victim of hit and run in Cayo

By Aaron Humes: Police are investigating an apparent hit-and-run accident in Camalote village, Cayo District on Saturday evening.

According to police, 50-year-old Francisco Ho of Camalote was riding his bicycle on the George Price Highway between miles 51 and 52 when a white SUV, traveling from the direction of San Ignacio towards Belmopan, hit him off his bicycle and thereafter fled the scene.

Ho was transported to the Western Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Police investigation continues.
