Belize Weather: Fair but hot weather to start the week

By Breaking Belize News Staff: Generally fair weather prevails according to the National Meteorological Service. Skies will be sunny with cloudy spells today and cloudy skies at times tonight. Showers or thunderstorms will be isolated except for slightly more over the southern districts tonight.

High temperatures will be 87 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 97 degrees over inland areas and 82 degrees in the hills. Tonight’s low temperatures will be 78 degrees along the coast, 72 degrees inland and 68 degrees in the hills. A heat alert remains in effect for inland areas.

Winds are easterly at 10 to 20 knots and sea state is light chop.

Tides will be high at 10:07 this morning and 11:59 this evening and low at 5:49 this evening. The sun sets at 6:29 this evening and rises at 5:18 Tuesday morning.

On Tuesday, weather will be fair with a few showers and isolated thunderstorms mostly along the coast and over the south.
