Taiwan Ambassador and Minister of State Chris Coye meet representatives from seafood importer, Yen and Brothers

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: On July 16, 2023, Taiwan Ambassador to Belize, Lily Hsu met with Dennis Yen, General Manager and Dana Tseng, Product Specialist from Yen and Brothers Enterprise CO., LTD.

Yen and Brothers is one of the biggest seafood importers in Taiwan.

The company has been importing lobsters from Belize for years and their visit this time was to explore the future purchase of Belizean white shrimps.

Yen and Tseng met with Belizean shrimp farmers and seafood exporters, as well as conducted sites visits to shrimp farms from July 13-17, 2023.

Minister of State of Finance, Economic Development and Investment Chris Coye also joined the dinner to discuss how Taiwan and Belize can work together to improve sustainability in the seafood industry and expand future business cooperation to benefit both sides.

The Embassy says that it is committed to continue to promote the trade and economic ties between Taiwan and Belize.
