By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: In a recent episode of The Whip morning show, Mayor Bernard Wagner discussed an array of enjoyable activities taking place in Belize City.
Last week, Belize played host to the U19 Female Central American Volleyball Championship, a competition that filled the civic center to capacity.
But the excitement isn’t stopping there, assures Wagner, hinting at further thrilling events over the weekend.
“Our city is truly buzzing. We have the music festival this Saturday and all hotels are fully booked,” stated Wagner.
The Mayor believes that such activities not only entertain but also stimulate local economic growth and provide support for entrepreneurs.
“It’s always about fostering local economic development. These events offer opportunities for entrepreneurs. With the energy that these events generate, money circulates as people are more inclined to spend. This boosts sales for vendors, hotels, and night spots,” Wagner explained.
Wagner also extended his commendations to the Volleyball Association for successfully hosting the recent volleyball tournament.
