National Community Oriented Policing Unit and Wood Stop partner to provide picnic tables to Evergreen Primary

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez:  On September 13, 2023, the National Community Oriented Policing Unit and Wood Stop limited partnered to support Evergreen Primary School with 2 picnic tables for the children to have their meals.

Commander of Community policing, Howell Gillett noted that this partnership fosters a positive relationship between law enforcement and the community, showing commitment to the well-being of children.

It also provides proper seating encourages children to eat in a clean and organized setting, promoting better nutrition and hygiene.

“By supporting educational initiatives, law enforcement may indirectly contribute to reducing future crime rates by providing students with better opportunities.

Our next undertaking will be to repair the cafeteria which has been closed for some time now due to termite infestation,” Gillett stated.

The community and the police working together to make a brighter future for our children.
