Belize National Celebrations Commission hosts successful Pan Yaad ’23

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: On Saturday, September 16, 2023, the Belize National Celebrations Commission (NCC) hosted a fun-filled Pan Yaad ’23.

The event saw the biggest crowd by far as the reverberation of the steel pan filled downtown Belize City, and homes through social media, televisions, and radios.

According to the NCC, about 2,000 steel pan enthusiasts and fans converged at the House of Culture to enjoy the dynamic performances from our very own distinguished pannists.

Eight energetic groups namely Pantempters, Pandemonium, Omolewa Osain, St John’s College, Pannerifix, University of Belize, Grace Primary, Pan di Sea, and solo artist Alexander Evans all took to the stage to give the audience a rocking performance.

Belizeans and friends came out to enjoy the one-of-a-kind show which offers a vibe of excellent clean fun and caters to families, children, and the young and old alike.

The NCC thanked official photographer, Alejandro Tovar for capturing the event.
