Benque Viejo Town Council launches vehicle removal operation for a tidier urban environment

By Horace Palacio: The Benque Viejo Town Council is taking firm steps to address growing concerns related to stationary and inoperative vehicles hampering the routine flow of traffic in town.

As of now, the council will actively initiate a vehicle identification and removal operation targeting immobile vehicles left abandoned on the streets. These vehicles, which have become obstacles for the town’s motorists, will be under strict scrutiny. Owners of the vehicles creating these obstructions will be accountable, and the council will mandate them to pay a due if their vehicle gets removed.

The initiative also targets vehicles that remain parked on roadsides for more than three successive days without any movement. Such vehicles will be subject to tickets or may find themselves relocated to a pound yard. To mitigate such troubles, the council firmly recommends all vehicle owners to use proper parking garages or the parking areas demarcated for this purpose.

The move mirrors the council’s steadfast commitment to preserving Benque Viejo’s cleanliness and order. The primary goal is to foster smoother traffic conditions and decrease the episodes of traffic bottlenecks.

The announcement came with a fervent appeal to the citizens of Benque Viejo, emphasizing community pride and collective responsibility. “Thank you for your cooperation. Let’s be proud of our town and work together to keep it clean.”
