Ministry of Education to distribute over 5,000 digital devices to schools countrywide

The Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Technology updated cabinet on the ConnectEd program that aims to provide wifi in schools.

The Ministry will also distribute over 5,000 digital devices to schools in all districts across the nation. The devices are a donation from Taiwan.

The ConnectEd program, which empowers over 66,000 students and 3,807 faculty, is one aspect of the Belize Education Sector Plan 2021-2023, which identifies technology as one of its pillars for transformation and is keeping with the #PlanBelize Agenda for making education work for Belize.
