By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: The FIRST Belize Robotics Federation (FBRF) is seeking registration of individual student participants, school and club teams, and volunteers to serve in various capacities, such as mentors, judges, referees, announcers, logistics managers, and more, in its 2023 Call for Registration.
Student participation includes the FIRST LEGO League programme.
This programme works with children from ages 9 to 14 years old.
The FIRST Robotics Competition works with children from 13 years to 17 years old.
Adult volunteer age requirement: 18+ years old.
To kick off the registration drive, the FBRF is asking robotics enthusiasts (primarily schools) to assemble in teams with banners and team props at the DIGI park in Belize City at 8am on Wednesday, November 1, 2023.
Once registered, interested participants can look forward to competing in various competitions, which will be forwarded to the schools and the public via the official FIRST Belize Website.
