Classes resume today with caution for schools in Stann Creek and Toledo

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: The Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Technology advised that in-person classes resume today for schools countrywide.

The Ministry urges educators in South Stann Creek and Toledo to exercise caution and confirm with their respective District Education centers.

Classes had been suspended for Monday and Tuesday, November 6 and 7, 2023 due to excessive rainfall and flooding.

“Principals of southern Stann Creek district* schools from the Georgetown/Red Bank area and those further south as well as principals from Toledo district schools in the Blue Creek area and those in close proximity to the Moho and Temash Rivers are asked to exercise caution and confirm with their respective District Education Centres for further suspension of in-person classes for Wednesday, November 8th, 2023,” the Ministry said.
