By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: On November 21, 2023, the Ministry of Rural Transformation, Community Development, Labour and Local Government in collaboration with the Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Working Group, initiated the first in a series of Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Consultation sessions.

The session brought together key government stakeholders in a collective effort to discuss the workplace occupational safety standards for the country.

The session comprised of various presentations covering several sections of the Bill, providing valuable insights into the proposed changes and improvements.

This interactive forum is designed to foster an open exchange of ideas, allowing for questions, comments, and recommendations from the engaged stakeholders.

The OSH Consultation Sessions are being held in Belize City today, focusing on engaging representatives from the Trade and Business Sectors.
