Barton Creek and ATM caves CLOSED due to rising river levels

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: The Institute of Archaeology informed that Actun Tunichil Muknal (ATM) Cave and Barton Creek are now closed due to elevated river levels.

Tour activities are suspended due to the rising river levels.

Tour Guides and Tour Operators are advised to be alert and exercise caution at all locations.

The Institute of Archaeology continues to monitor and will provide updates as necessary.
