Belize Weather: Continued clouds and rain

By Breaking Belize News Staff: Lingering unstable atmospheric conditions will support mostly cloudy skies today and tonight. The National Meteorological Service forecasts periods of rain and some showers and isolated thunderstorms countrywide and particularly along coastal areas and offshore.

Average high temperatures are forecast to be 81 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 78 degrees in inland areas and 72 degrees in the hills. Tonight’s low temperatures will be 72 degrees along the coast, 68 degrees inland and 62 degrees in the hills.

Winds will be northerly to northwesterly at 10 to 15 knots and sea state choppy to moderate. A small craft caution is in effect for gusty winds and locally rough seas near heavy showers and thunderstorms. An excessive rainfall warning is in effect for central and northern coastal areas and offshore.

Tides will be high at 10:56 this morning and 9:47 tonight and low at 3:38 this afternoon. The sun sets at 5:19 this evening and rises at 6:14 Thursday morning.

Clouds and rain decrease on Thursday, to affect mostly coastal areas.
