Belize City man fined $200 for punching through window in domestic incident

By Breaking Belize News Staff: A Belize City man was fined a total of $205 for punching through a window valued at $285 during a domestic dispute.

Roy Eugene Bennett, 36, appeared in court unrepresented last Wednesday and was read a single charge of damage to property. He quickly pleaded guilty and was imposed a fine of $200 plus $5 cost of court. He was given until March 28 to pay, in default, two week in prison.

The complainant reported to police that on February 28, Bennett visited her home under the influence of alcohol and heard a loud noise then realized that Bennett had punched her window.
