Cool and windy conditions prevail

radar feature february 25By BBN Staff: The National Meteorological Service of Belize is predicting variably cloudy and cool weather with light rain along the coast this morning, then decreasing this afternoon.

Winds will be blowing from the North-Northwest at 15-25 knots with higher gusts and the sea state will be rough. A small craft warning is in effect.

High temperatures today are expected around 80 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast; 83 degrees Fahrenheit inland and a comfortable 70 degrees Fahrenheit up at the exposed areas of the Mountain Pine Ridge and along the Maya Mountains in the south.

A high tide is expected this morning at 11:36 and a low tide this evening at 6:01.

The sun will set at 5:58 this evening.

The extended forecast into tomorrow night calls for cloudy, windy and cool weather with little or no rainfall.
