By BBN Staff: A disturbing report made by the mother of a disabled 15-year-old minor on April 1, has launched a rape investigation in Dangriga.
The woman told officers that on March 31, sometime between 3:00 and 3:30 p.m., she got home from work and noticed that her daughter, who has cerebral palsy, which makes her unable to speak or walk, was sad.
When she asked what was wrong, her daughter indicated that anytime the babysitter left the house and she was left alone with her stepfather, he would touch her breast, vagina and buttocks.
A medical examination was conducted on the minor and a doctor certified that her hymen had been torn. A police investigation continues.
