Orange Walk man involved in fatal traffic accident

By BBN Staff: Margendon Conorquie, 39, of Carmelita Village, Orange Walk was involved in a bizarre traffic accident yesterday morning as he ran over a man who was sitting in the middle of the road.

According to police reports, Conorquie was driving in his white 1990 GMC Chevy Suburban on the Burrell Boom/Hattieville Road from the direction of the Philip Goldson Highway Junction and as he was heading towards Hattieville when he knocked down a dark complexion male person who was sitting in the middle of the road.

The victim sustained serious head and body injuries and died on the spot.

The unidentified victim was transported to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital Morgue and was pronounced dead on arrival.

 

Police are investigating.
