Belize COMPOL attends Chief of Police Conference in the U.S.

By BBN Staff:  A team of police officers led by Commissioner of Police Allen Whylie departed the country today to attend an International Association of Chief of Police (IACP) conference in San Diego, California, U.S. courtesy of the United States embassy.

Faustino Shal, embassy staff member from the International Narcotics and Law Enforcement section accompanied them on the trip.

The conference is a 4 day event held annually. This year it is being held in San Diego, California from October 15-18. The event is focused on supplying the officers and their departments the best law enforcement training available to empower and enhance the quality of work, to find solutions, make decisions, and ultimately save lives.

Officers participating in the programs are provided with necessary skills and knowledge to effectively administer their agencies and reflecting the IACP’s core values of integrity, ethics, and professionalism.

The conference provides strategies, intelligence and solutions for officers to better serve and protect.
