Broad day shooting leaves one man hospitalized

By BBN Staff: Twenty-four-year-old Deon Brackett was shot at around 11:30 a.m. on the south side of Belize City yesterday.

Brackett was reportedly near the corner of Trinity Street when a gunman emerged firing shots in broad day light.

Brackett ran for cover but was struck to the lower back.

Police say that he is currently receiving treatment in a stable condition at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital.

No one has yet been detained.
