Bold thieves steal skiff and equipment worth over $27,000 in Belize City

By BBN Staff: According to police reports, yesterday morning around 12:42, Francisco Javier Gutierrez, 55, of a Belize City address reported that between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m., someone stole his white and blue 25ft Mexican Lanchon fiber glass skiff with the name NAUTICA .

The skiff is valued at $10,000.00.

The culprit also took along with (2) 40hp Yamaha boat engines valued at $8,500.00 each. It also had onboard (1) 250 gallons water container valued at $400.00, (1) Galvanize anchor valued at $125.00, and (4) life jackets valued at $40.00 each, all to a total value of $27,685.00.

Police are investigating.
