Guatemalan farmer died of multiple chop wounds

By BBN Staff: According to police reports, yesterday morning around 6:30, police went to Davis Fall road, Alta Vista village and saw the body of 49-year-old Guatemalan farmer, Cesar Augusto Monroy, on the ground in a state of decomposition.

Monroy had what appeared to be a large chop wound behind the neck and a cut wound to the left hand.

Police investigations revealed that Monroy left home on Sunday, August 6 sometime in the evening and did not return home.

Yesterday morning around 5:40 , another farmer was walking along the Davis Fall road saw blood stains on the ground and checked in the orange orchard where he found Monroy’s body.

A postmortem examination was conducted on Monroy’s body and certified the cause of death to be ‘traumatic shock due to blunt sharp force trauma due to multiple chop wounds.’

Police investigations continue.
