Food vendor shot in Belize City

By BBN Staff: A food vendor was shot early this morning in Belize City.

According to confirmed reports, at around 4:55 a.m. Police visited the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital (KHMH) where they saw Peter Sutherland, 30, suffering from a gunshot wound to his right hand.

Sutherland is currently receiving medical treatment and is listed in a stable condition.

Investigations revealed that he was riding his bicycle on Cemetery Road when a man emerged from an alley and fired a single shot.

Police have not made any arrest as yet and are investigating the matter.
