House of Mennonite farmer burns down

By BBN Staff: Abram Wiebe, 54, a Belizean Mennonite farmer of Camp 50, Indian Creek Village, Orange Walk District reported that on Sunday,  November, 26, 2017 about 10.00 p.m., while asleep, he was awakened by his daughter, Anna Wiebe, 34.

Anna informed him that his house was on fire.

The  two-storey structure made of wood with zinc roofing valued at $ 50,000 and its contents were totally destroyed by fire.

All items lost to the fire amounts to a value of $60,000.00.

Police are investigating.
