Body of Brian Valerio found

BBN Staff: The body of Brian Valerio, 45, was found at the bar mouth of north Stann Creek River in Dangriga this morning.

On Saturday around 2:30 PM Valerio attempted to swim across the river and upon reaching the mid-point of the river he went under and never re-sufaced.

Since Saturday, a search party consisting of divers from the Fisheries Department, the Belize Coast Guard and members of the community have been looking for his body in the river but were unable to locate him until this morning.

A postmortem is expected to be done today.
