By BBN Staff: Earlier this month three prisoners escaped from the Corozal police station.
Information reaching BBN’s newsroom is that on Tuesday morning one of them was recaptured.
He is Johnny Matus, 19.
He was found sleeping inside his San Narciso home.
Yesterday he appeared in the Magistrate’s Court to answer to charges of escaping lawful custody and damage to property.
The matter was adjourned until May 3rd.
On April 11th, Matus, Marvin Pec and Austin Sutherland escaped from cell-block #3.
Reports are that they damaged the metal bars with a sharp object.
We note that the other two escapees have not been located as yet.
