By BBN Staff:Yesterday, the Belize Bureau of Standards informed the public of a decrease in the price of premium gas.
Premium now goes from $11.71 to $11.60 per gallon – an 11 cents decrease.
Over the last few weeks, Belizeans had expressed concern of the constant increase in fuel prices and as such, Government of Belize (GOB) had indicated to the nation that the recent increases in the prices were due exclusively to the global acquisition costs which had skyrocketed in recent months.
However, since oil prices have been reducing globally, Belizeans were advised to expect a decrease in pump prices.
This is the third decrease in fuel prices for this year by GOB.
Prices for gasoline, diesel, and kerosene remain the same.
