By BBN Staff: Famous Mexican actress Kate del Castillo, otherwise known as ‘La Reina del Sur’, arrived in Belize on Monday to film part 2 of the popular novela.

Castillo and her crew have been filming at the Xunantunich archeological reserve in western Belize.

Breaking Belize News can confirm that several Belizeans are also participating as actors in the production of the novela.

Last night, Castillo was greeted by fans at the Princess Hotel and Casino in San Ignacio where she was taking some time off, watching the ‘I got the Voice’ competition.

Castillo was seen with her Belizean bodyguards, former officers of the Belize Defense Force.
