At least one confirmed dead in fatal road traffic accident in southern Belize

By BBN Staff: BBN has just received reliable reports of a fatal road traffic accident outside of Punta Gorda Town in the Toledo District.

We can confirm that four persons were traveling on the Southern Highway when they lost control of the vehicle.

One of the passengers, Anthony Archer was pronounced dead on the spot.

His brother Jamie Archer was flung from the vehicle but has not been located. His status is at this time unknown.

The other occupants of the vehicle remain unconscious.

Police are investigating.
