Fun activities in San Ignacio and Santa Elena this week

By BBN Staff: Looking for fun activities to participate in or attend this week in the Twin Towns of San Ignacio and Santa Elena, Cayo?

BBN’s Journalist, Zoila Gonzalez went looking for some. Here is what she found:

Cayo Centre for Employment Training (CET) is hosting their annual Open House. The event features products made by students at CET including several food specialties from students in the Food and Beverage classes. It comes alive on Thursday, November 22, from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Since, Thursday is also Thanksgiving in the United States of America (USA), many Belizean-Americans and Americans living in Belize celebrate with their delicious turkey dinner sale. Lookout for those great deals.

On Friday, November 23, Sacred Heart Junior College (SHJC) will be having its annual Open Day! The Open day is open to the public and everyone is invited to attend and visit the booths from 10 am to 4pm. Visitors will have the opportunity to learn more about the programs offered at the JC as well as the activities that the students engage in.

Universal Children’s day is today, however, it will be observed among the Pre and Primary schools on Friday, November 23. The theme for this year is ‘Get Involved’ and #GoBlue, in support for the fulfillment of children’s rights for all children. Schools have planned sporting games for the children to enjoy.

On Saturday, November 24, Atlantic Bank San Ignacio branch is hosting its annual Christmas Loan Fair. Customers are invited to come and find out more about their convenient repayment terms.  The fair will be held at the Atlantic Bank compound on the Corner of Columbus Park and Burns Avenue. It will kick off at 9:00 a.m. Participating businesses include Palma’s Lumber and Supplies, The Wine House, Dibary, Comex, Let them eat Cake, Triple J Store, Santiago Castillo Limited and the Finishing Touch.
