Man chopped multiple times while sleeping; In a critical condition at the hospital

y BBN Staff:Belmopan police are investigating a chopping incident that occurred this morning.

Around 2:15 am, police went to the Western Regional Hospital and found Lucui Ruiz,37, with one of his hands amputated and chop wounds to his body.

Police investigations revealed that Ruiz was sleeping under a house in a hammock when a man approached him and inflicted several chop wounds.

Ruiz is currently in a critical condition.

Police are investigating.
