By BBN Staff: The Government of Belize, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has prioritized the preparation of its National Report on the International Convention on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination (CERD).
In this regard, the Ministry will embark on a national public consultation with relevant stakeholders.
Today, the Ministry received financial support from the Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan) to assist with the execution of the national public consultations.
This includes support for the development of collateral materials and public presentations to stakeholders as well as other logistical costs.
Receiving the donation on behalf of the Government of Belize was Wilfred Elrington, Minister of Foreign Affairs, from H.E. Remus Li-Kuo Chen, Ambassador of the Republic of China (Taiwan) to Belize.
Belize and Taiwan continue to share strong political, economic, and social development ties at all levels of government.
The Government of Belize thanks the Republic of China (Taiwan) for this meaningful contribution.
