Erneldo Cruz accused of obtaining electronic items by deception

Aaron Humes: A Belize City teacher is accusing 31-year-old Erneldo Feliciano Cruz of promising to repair various electronic items for her and then keeping them for himself.

Cruz in court gave his occupation as an attendant for the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital, though the hospital has distanced itself from him.
Cruz appeared before Magistrate Khadeen Palmer on Friday when he was read the charge.
On Tuesday, January 29, 2019, at about 12:26 p.m., Sakenah Lopez, 38, visited Precinct 2 police station and reported that on Saturday, January 12, 2019, about 9:00 a.m., whilst she was at home she gave Cruz Jr., several items to fix. About a month later, on February 13, she tried to contact Cruz about the items by phone and on Facebook but she was unable to do so. Sakenah Lopez accuses Cruz of taking two laptops; an iPhone 4 and an Amazon Kindle Fire tablet. Cruz denied the charge and met bail of $2,000. He returns to court on May 23rd.
