Police seeking one suspect in shooting of Lawrence Simpson, 38

By BBN Staff: Police are seeking one suspect in the Wednesday night shooting of Lawrence Simpson, 38.

Sometime around 9 o’clock, Simpson was at his Pelican Street home in Belize City when someone called out his name.

When he opened his front door, a man standing outside opened fire at him.

He was struck in the left side of the chest and transported to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where he remains in a critical condition.

Police are unable to establish a motive for this incident and have revealed that the victim was at home with his wife and children at the time of the attack.
