By BBN Staff: The Chief Executive Officers (CEO) Caucus of the Government of Belize thanks all riders, professional cyclists, children, public officers, donors, and partners for participating and supporting the 2019 CEO Caucus Cancer Initiative.

This year’s initiative, which was launched in April.

It was celebrated under the theme “Stronger Together” and raised $73,000.00 to support efforts to combat cancer.

The initiative culminated in the awareness ride on Saturday, May 18 and saw the participation of 170 riders, including children.

Since 2016, $326,000.00 has been raised by the CEO Caucus Cancer Initiative and channeled to the outstanding work of the Dangriga Cancer Treatment Center and the Belize Cancer Society.

The work and commitment of the staff of these institutions continue to provide critical and lifesaving treatment and care to hundreds of Belizeans.

With this year’s support many more Belizeans will continue to access treatment and care. All this is possible because of an amazing team of selfless Belizean volunteers, sponsors, donors and colleagues who continue to do their part to help.

CEO Caucus thanks the Cycling Federation of Belize for their continued guidance and care extended to the riders and overall logistical support.

They also extended gratitude to officers of the Belize Coast Guard, the Belize Defence Force, the Police and Transport Departments for their commitment to security and road safety.

CEO Caucus expressed their heartfelt appreciation to the staff of the Ministries of Labour, Natural Resources, Agriculture, Health, Human Development, National Emergency Management Organization (NEMO), the Solid Waste Management Authority and the Government Press Office, who volunteered their time to coordinate the event.

The organizers thank all who supported to this cause.

Let’s continue to honor and pledge our support to our friends and family who are braving the battle.

We are stronger together!
