Our newsroom has confirmed that a shooting occurred minutes ago in Placencia, Stann Creek district.
It reportedly happened near a popular hangout spot in Placencia.
Two men were engaged in an altercation during which one man pulled out a pistol and shot the other in the leg.
The victim has since been transported to hospital.
