By BBN Staff: On Friday night there was an armed robbery in Belize City.
It occurred at the popular Sonny’s Bakery on Racecourse Street.
The proprietor, Adolph Peterson told police he and his wife were inside the shop around 7 p.m. when two men entered the establishment.
Armed with a pistol, the men robbed them of $2,200 and escaped.
Those two men are currently being sought by authorities.
