CitCo wraps up baseball camp

By BBN Staff: The Belize City Council today concluded its two week mini-league baseball camp.

Councilor Micah Goodin who has responsibility for the Youth and Sports Department told us more.

According to him, there was a bit over a hundred children ages eight to thirteen years old.

He explained that in the first week of the camp the children learned the fundamentals of baseball.

In the second week they applied what they learned in a series of matches.

In today’s closing ceremony, Goodin thanked the children for their commitment and explained this initiative is a part of the council’s manifesto.

“This is yet another promise kept by Mayor Bernard Wagner. He continues to keep his promises to young people,” Goodin concluded.
