Weak tropical wave to cross the country tonight

By BBN Staff: Today will be a hot day, but there will be some reprieve from the heat tonight as a weak tropical wave is expected to cross over the country, according to the latest weather report prepared by the National Meteorological Service of Belize. 

The 24-hour forecast calls for mostly sunny skies with only isolated showers and thunderstorms today and partly cloudy skies tonight with a few showers and thunderstorms over mostly coastal and southern areas.  

Today’s temperature highs will be 89 degrees Fahrenheit on the coast, 96 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 84 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills. Tonight’s temperature lows will range from 82 degrees Fahrenheit on the coast, 75 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 70 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills.

Winds will be blowing East-southeast between 5-15 Knots and the sea state will be light chop.

There will be a high tide at 3:11 p.m. and a low tide at 8:36 p.m. The sun will set at 6:03 p.m. and the moon will set today at 11:19 p.m.
