More showers expected

By BBN Staff: Moist and unstable conditions are expected to continue today, according to the latest weather report prepared by the National Meteorological Service of Belize.

The 24-hour forecast says that skies will become sunny with a few cloudy spells today and then mostly cloudy again tonight. Showers or thunderstorms will be isolated today, then some showers, periods of rain and thunderstorms will affect most areas overnight.

Today’s high temperatures will be 88 degrees Fahrenheit on the coast, 92 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 85 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills.

Tonight’s temperature lows will range from 79 degrees Fahrenheit on the coast, 75 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 70 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills.

Winds will be blowing East-Southeast between 5-15 knots and the sea state will be light chop- choppy.

There will be a high tide at 9:36 a.m. and a low tide at 3:48 p.m. The sun will set at 5:43 p.m. and the moon will rise tomorrow at 6:33 a.m.
